Digitizing the dartmouth ID

After being locked out of my dorm room in snowy New Hampshire one too many times, I realized a student need that had yet to be filled. Digitizing the Dartmouth ID would allow for students who forgot their IDs to gain more convenient access to student spaces on campus. Additionally, it would allow the college to gain data on student behavior on campus to correctly allocate resources to campus locations at needed times.

I recruited a team of three students to develop this idea through TuckLAB—an entrepreneurship competition hosted by Tuck School of Business—leading us to compete and win in the shark tank style final round. Collaborating on developing an MVP, marketing and financial model, interface design and producing a commercial, we then delivered groundwork to the college administration and now see a digital ID used across campus.
